HURRICANE SCREENS: I do not usually take the time to write reviews. I’m making an exception here as my experience with STORM SMART has been the most enjoyable out of all of the various companies I’ve dealt with since my new home was completed in December 2021. Even though my house was built with hurricane rated windows and doors, more than one person told me I should consider getting motorized roll down hurricane screens for the large openings at the lanai. Those openings face west and the afternoon sun can be intense at times, so the screens can be used for shade as well. It also eliminates the need to relocate outdoor furniture in the event a storm actually passes through. All of the people I spoke to mentioned the same company, STORM SMART. And after seeing their commercials almost every time the TV was turned on I decided to give them a call. It was a great experience every step of the way. Our in home demonstration was done by their rep, John McEnroe. Very personable and knew the product inside and out. He made the decision easy as we placed the order the very next day. Their inside staff not only sent all of the information required by my community HOA on my behalf, but they also sent all of the paperwork to the county for permits. They did everything! The screen fabrication actually took less time than anticipated and the installation took place yesterday by the STORM SMART installer, Josh McCarthy. The installation can make or break everything. Josh was on time, polite, explained the process, cleaned up along the way and worked without taking a break. A two day installation was completed in one long day. He is a true team player for STORM SMART, so I hope they know what they have in him. Several of our neighbors were waiting for the installation to be completed so they could see how they worked. Referrals were a key element to the success of my company and I will be singing the praises of STORM SMART moving forward.
