The Importance of a Great Warranty

Monday, April 11th, 2011

Many homeowners & consumers put a premium towards the warranty that is offered with their choice of hurricane protection & energy conservation products. A Warranty provides a sense of security for purchasers for the reason that they only want to be assured that they have a means of being able to replace defective products with minimal to no cost to themselves. In cases where faulty production or manufacturing may unexpectedly fall into their hands, having a great warranty eases their concerns. The chances of purchasing defective products may not be that high, but just the same, most people would like to be assured their purchases are warrantied for the value of their money spent.

Storm Smart provides a Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original customer of it’s branded products that we manufacture for as long as the product is in the original location it was installed. What does a Limited Lifetime Warranty means to the consumer?  It means we will repair or replace our branded products that are determined by a Storm Smart Service representative to be defective, at no charge for parts or materials. The warranty covers only defects arising under normal use and does not include malfunctions or failures resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, alterations, problems with electrical power, and usage not in accordance with product instructions, acts of nature, or improper installation or repairs made by anyone other than Storm Smart.

The bottom line is that we stand by our products, installation and workmanship. You can trust Storm Smart to provide you with the expertise you need in arming yourself and your home against the ravaging effects of hurricanes and tropical storms while also being assured that we will repair or replace any unforeseen defects.

Even the Inspector was impressed…

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011

We have the “coolest job” of the month because of Mike.  Expecting a “crew,” we were surprised when he arrived and worked alone! For three days, we came and went to our exercise classes, golf, and appointments.  There was never a mess.  Mike and the electrician vacuumed immediately when necessary.  When all were installed, Mike carefully explained how the 4 different types of shutters worked.  He patiently answered questions, sometimes the same one only from the perspective of my husband or me.

Besides having complete faith in the honesty and integrity of Mike and Storm Smart, we have confidence in the choices of the shutter for the different locations.  We not only have a hurricane screen on the lanai but also a wind/rain screen on a north elevation. The motorized front door metal shutter will provide security against glass breakage; and the windows have accordion or lexan panels.  Even the inspector was impressed with the quietness of our front door shutter!

We could not be happier with this COOL job!  Thanks Storm Smart, Howard, and Mike.

Coolest Job Entry ~ “Only your company was able to do this job!”

Thursday, March 10th, 2011

If it wasn’t for the experience of Mark Hoppe, Guy Fontana, and the final measurements and installation of Dennis this job would not have happened. Mark had the experience to have Guy Fontana call on me directly and discuss the project and he explained what they would do in detail. This was important because the opening was 30’. The final dimension was 29’. Having an engineering background, only your company was able to design and handle this project. Dennis was patient with us as we examined the installation as it progressed. This was a very professional sale, engineering, and installation. Vernon L., Bonita Springs, FL
