Satisified Customer

To Brian Rist, President

Storm Smart Industries

I recently had a problem with my Storm Catcher Hurricane fabric and had to get it replaced. Having accomplished this successfully, I want to take the opportunity to thank you and your staff for the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I have ever personally experienced or seen. I am a retired Financial VP for a Billion $+ international industrial manufacturing business so I think I have some ability to assess good service.

My Storm Catcher screen was purchased about five years ago from Florida Hurricane & Solar Protection of Sarasota to protect my lanai area in addition to the purchase of Lexan shutters for the remaining windows. After realising that I had a problem on the day prior to leaving for the North for the summer, I had some difficulty getting connected to the right person at the supplier to see if I could get a replacement screen. When I was told to call the manufacturer directly, I sensed there was going to be a problem in resolving it to my satisfaction. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

My initial contact was with a gentleman named Zeke who suggested I talk to Maria. After I explained who I was and the situation, she without hesitation agreed to a replacement under the warranty. She did indicate that I would have to bring the screen to Fort Myers to be used as a template and would make every effort to have it ready for me in 2-3 days as I was flying from Cape Cod to Florida specifically to get this resolved.

I first arrived at your office/plant on Tuesday August 30th. As I was taking the screen out of my trunk, an employee came by and asked if he could assist me. I said I didn’t need help but he insisted on at least opening the facility door. Once inside, I was well taken care of by the receptionist and shortly by Maria. As I was leaving the office, another lady asked if I had been taken care of satisfactorily. I knew I was in good hands. As I was about to drive away, I spotted yourself (having seen your picture in the foyer). I told you how happy I was with the service. I was still anxious about getting the final product as agreed to and on time but with high expectations based on what had just occurred.

On Thursday morning at 7:30 am, Maria called and said the Storm Catcher was ready. I drove to your facility and met with Maria who gave me the replacement product. Again, Maria and each person whom I saw asked if I had been cared for satisfactorily. Later that day, I reinstalled the new Storm Catcher at my home with full product and time satisfaction.

Your product is great. Installation is as simple as it could be. Your organization is fabulous.

Thank you and I wish you and your employees continues success.

Respectfully yours,

Mr. Webb

Although not the largest, this may be the coolest job for the month because every aspect of the project was performed with customer focus using quality materials and workmanship, and professional installation.

All the involved personnel treated me with respect and gave me the feeling that my installation mattered. From answering the phone, to selling, to choosing the color, to planning, to scheduling, to arriving on time, to the actual installation and clean-up, Storm Smart made every effort to make this project run smoothly and successfully for me, the customer. I could not be happier with the quality of the results and all the Storm Smart people involved in the outcome.

  • I was made to feel like it was the largest, most important job Storm Smart had all month!

This being the first time I have ever taken the time to write a satisfaction letter to any company.

Dear Mr. Rist:

This is probably the first time I have ever take the time to write a satisfaction letter to ANY company I have ever dealt with, but I feel that a letter to you is truly warranted. This direct letter to you will guarantee you are aware of the fine performance of your employees.

My initial contact with your company was through Linda Fellnor, who scheduled an appointment with Tim Wolnik. After I explained my objectives to Tim, he provided an assortment of solutions to achieve those objectives, both short and long term scenarios. His suggestions were 100% correct. The “Storm Catcher Screens” were exactly what we needed for our condominium.

The paperwork for permitting handled by Debra Santorico was handled with little or no effect on my part which made the process seamless.  The coordination of the shutter install was handled by Hilda Provost who responded to all of my questions without hesitation.

The electrician Don Dugas and the installer Mike Petrone showed up on time and began work immediately finishing the job in an efficient manner in spite of the thunder and rain.  The finished products look as if they were part of the condominium from the start. Mike stayed to show me how to operate the products and once again answered all of my questions, prior to leaving.

Finally, follow up by Vikki Sheaf providing all the necessary documentation needed to file with the insurance company, care documents, warranty information, etc.

I am extremely pleased with the entire experience, your employees and naturally the product. If you feel the need for any further endorsements by a “satisfied” customer, please feel free to contact me.

Screen Back Lanai

Screen Back Lanai

Overall, although not the largest, this may be the coolest job for the month because every aspect of the project was performed with customer focus using quality materials and workmanship, and professional installation. All the involved personnel treated me with respect and gave me the feeling that my installation mattered. From answering the phone, to selling, to choosing the color, to planning, to scheduling, to arriving on time, to the actual installation and cleanup, Storm Smart made every effort to make this project run smoothly and successfully for me, the customer. I could not be happier with the quality of the results and all the Storm Smart people involved in the outcome.

  • I was made to feel like it was the largest, most important job Storm Smart had all month!
  • The quality of the product, both materials and design, is top notch.
  • The roll down shutter assembly and trim seem to disappear into the walls in my lanai - the visible hoods and trim only add to the aesthetic value of the lanai.
  • Installation itself went like clockwork - Buddy Roberts and Steve worked very well as a team and were friendly, courteous, professional, respectful, and didn’t mind answering my questions ( I had a bunch of them).
  • Everyone at Storm Smart (Frank, TJ (when I visited the factory and showroom), Hilda, Buddy, Steve) acted professionally, kept me informed during planning, scheduling and installation, and I felt I was included as part of the team, NOT just a customer or another job.
  • The contractor electrician (Paul) was likewise professional, courteous, et al and did not mind answering my questions – he went the extra mile (at his voluntary suggestion) to provide just a little more wire to effectively move a speaker – the result was better than I had hoped.
  • Buddy and Steve cleaned up and vacuumed at the end of both days – they were respectful and questioned me as to whether it was ok to leave their tools.  They left them overnight in a tidy and organized manner. Thanks again,
